Online Fax as Part of a Green Campaign
Politicians, social activists, non-governmental organizations, the list goes on. What do they all have in common? A desire to preserve the environment around us. “Going Green” is a slogan that is being found in an ever-increasing number of locations, all with the aim of preserving and protecting the world around us. Throughout history, humans have reaped and taken advantage of the natural wonders our world has to offer, and this is not limited to the consumption of fossil fuels and oil.
When in an office environment, we often print out pages of paper from our computers, without necessarily having to. Similarly, sending faxes requires paper, both to send and receive them. The more paper that we consume, the more forests are being cut down to meet our need. Many green campaigns will have paper waste as a central part of their agenda.
So what can we do to help with the green campaigns? Cutting back on the amount of paper used is one prime method of doing our part. In an office, faxing is one area that can be adapted to a green campaign. Online faxing offers us the option to send and receive faxes without ever having to print out a page. You can use your computer to send a fax, and the recipient will receive that fax on their email, and can view it as an attachment. It completely eliminates the need for any paper, and for those of us who are committed to going green, there’s no better option. Online faxing is just as reliable as traditional faxing, and is in fact more convenient in certain elements. Trading a bulky, paper consuming machine, for an online fax alternative, seems the green way to go.
